This bug is still present in Wine 0.9.17.
The text is black instead of white/yellow in the main menu and various 
campaign briefing screens in Age of Empires I & II.
The following has been fixed:
- The fonts displayed in the actual gameplay of AoE I & II
- Chat messages are correctly displayed with a transparent background.
