I tested GdiFlush to do an XSync and XFlush, and neither of them help any to pass the d3d9 visual tests, I still think I need to put in the Sleep(1000);
Do you agree now? Or do you have another solution.

I created a patch that does GdiFlush and waits up to .5 seconds after a resolution change, are you ok with that?

Perhaps you could investigate first what's the cause that you need to add that delay on your system, and others don't?
