Well, i never encountered this "bug" anymore apart from netmeeting.There you
encounter the bug when you want to connect to an ils server, but as a work around
you could just fill in it's IP-number.Apart from that looks like it's really
never used by other programs. I'll abandon this bug as i think it's not worth
the effort
now implementing it.

Yes, starting the game still results in the application being in an event loop
without anything displayed on screen.
Tested with latest CVS and in Desktop / non-Desktop mode.

A little clarification is here. Saying "mouse cursor is boundered as it would be
_without_ these scrollbars" I mean also "while resizing a window".

If you execute the above BattleCruiser Millenium Installer, you will notice a
lot of visual artifacts, like missing or distrted bitmaps. Otherwise

This looks like directly related to sound. If ran with sound of everything is
fine. As soon as I enalbe sound it's getting lagish.
