Uwe, i just updated bug 3197, which seems to be the same as this one. Could you
try if it works now, and if so , close the bug? Thanks

installation complete
Hi, on the website the version is updated to quartus 5.1. I tried and although
it takes a _very_ long time , it does install. "Reporter" of this bug: could
you try
if it installs fine for you as well, and then close this bug?
BTW i tried to run the app, and it this is how i got at least the gui up and
working: copy hal, ntoskrnl ,msvcirt, bootvid and kdcom.dll from my
windowspartition to ~./wine/drive_c/windows/system32, change wineversion to
win98 and run with native msvcrt (WINEDLLOVERRIDES="msvcrt"=n wine
quartus.exe).
I guess those dlls are not provided by quartus so installation went fine.

I've installed latest Mandriva 2006 free edition downloaded from official
mirrors. Installation from the 3 CDs.
"uname -r" returns 2.6.12-12mdk for the Kernel.

May it be Neil uses wine version compiled without trace information?
(configure --disable-trace)
Neil, how did you get your Wine install?

Maybe I should go inside the directory cvs-commit. There is no mention about it
in howto however.
Please note, that I never used CVS before and wish to help with wine regression
testing. Thus I cannot discuss the howto; only way for me is do what it says and
hope it works.

Also make sure you are using the latest kernel release. I had the same problem
on my AMD64 until 2.6.14 came out. And things finally got stable when I used
the following settings in wow's config.wtf file:
SET SoundOutputSystem "1"
SET SoundBufferSize "100"
It appears that sound buffer over/underruns were causing my freeze-up issues.

>Ilya, could you try to run the game with

>or not the problem is in msvcrt.
Yes, native msvcrt solved the problem, list of names is correct and games are
loadable.
I tested game in cedega, it works fine except some graphics issues (in wine
there no any), and referencing to
http://appdb.winehq.org/appview.php?versionId=748&iTestingId=292 this game
worked with wine-20050111 version, so I guess some code was broken in latest
versions.
