Summary: python-2.4.2.msi won't install
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.2.
Platform: PC
URL: http://python.org
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-misc
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: wilson(a)afn.org
I installed the W95 InstMsiA.jexe from Microsoft (although I later read this may
not be necessary). I added "msi" = "native, builtin" and "msiexec.exe" =
"native, builtin" to ~/wine/config as suggested some shaman on one or another
Voodoo pages. I invoked:
wine msiexec /i python-2.4.2.msi
Wine began spewing its normal "fixme ..." messages, but presented a dialog (with
some missing components). After selecting a radio button and a "Next" button or
two, I was presented with the bad news dialog: "Python 2.4.2 Installer ended
prematurely", etc, etc.

Likely a dup of #3507.
I'm pretty sure that this happens if you have a large number of printers on your
network and use CUPS.
Winspool enumerates all the cups printers at start up and takes in the order of
1 second per printer.
Maybe winspool can do this enumeration asynchronously, or defer it to later?

Summary: Regression test fails to send results on WineME
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: PC
URL: http://test.winehq.com/data/200512011000/
OS/Version: Windows ME
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: test
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: asvamesf(a)hotmail.com
When running the regression test 200512011000 on WinME, the system becomes deaf
to mouse clicks when the test asks the user if the test results may be
submitted. Ctrl-Alt-Del shows the task manager, without any "Not responding"
tasks, but this window can't be clicked away.
<start output>
process.c: 330: Test failed: Setting CP
ptests/process.c: 6 tests executed, 0 marked as todo, 2 failures.
(a musical note and a 0 or O in reverse video follows at the end of the last line)
<end output>
Running the test on the same machine running WinXP SP2 succeeds including
sending the test results.
This seems to be a common problem, looking at the number of submitted results
for WinME (none).
