I apologise, having checked the Program Files Directory it did install the
files, I assumed that the error I mentioned and the fact a desktop icon that
didn't work meant the program had not installed. It had installed.
What I probably need to do is rm -rf .wine again delete the icons & reinstall
and confirm whether the icon link on the desktop is created correctly. Upon an
initial check of the program it looks like the icon problem has been fixed
too... If that's the case, this app would make platinum other than the fact it
needs MFC42.DLL and msvcirt.dll copied manually into ../system32
Thanks James

Hi James,
I created another linux user account and ran winecfg which created the .wine
folder, copied the MFC42.DLL and msvcirt.dll into ../system32.
I now get a bit further i.e. it brings up the license agreement but it still
fails with the message
err:msi:msi_make_package_local Unable to copy package
(L"\eb80\0017\00a0\0011://download.virtualmechanics.com/download/install/webenginev2/200k//WebEngineV200k.msi"
-> L"c:\\windows\\Installer\\9132.msi") (error 3)
The dialogs say everything installed OK but ignore what the dislogs say the
program is still not installing under 0.9.22.
Are you using .22 or or the latest from git.
Regards
Nick

ntdll dump
OK, now I learned how to create such a log. Hopefully it's not too boring. The
server does the "NtWriteFile (0x68,(nil), ..." block perhaps 2 times per
second, as its idle activity. Things may get interesting from line 1928 on,
here the problematic file gets opened.
