Sorry, but Wine has no support for hardware drivers. And probably never will.

Summary: Application SSC for managing Epson Printers requires
GIVEIO.SYS and when I download it , it demands
import_dll from ntkernel.exe
Product: WineHQ Apps Database
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: critical
Priority: P2
Component: website-bugs
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: casimiro.barreto(a)gmail.com
Hello,
I have major problem with SSC application for managing Epson printers. SSC
installs OK, but when required to work, it complains about giveio.sys. Then I
imported giveio.sys and put it in .../drive_c/windows/system32 (as required).
Then it requires import_dll from ntkernel.exe and after this point everything
gets wrong.

Summary: Implement glut using wgl and not the native glut
library.
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-x11driver
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: tom(a)dbservice.com
The Nvidia SDK demos use glut to create the window but later on they use wgl
functions, such as wglGetCurrentDC(), which will return NULL because the DC
hasn't been created using wgl and thus wgl doesn't know anything about a current DC.
The only solution here is to use wgl to implement glut. And the easiest way
would be to take an existing win32 glut implementation. I wasn't able to figure
out under which license win32 glut has been released, and I've heard unless it's
LGPL it can't be copied over to the wine source tree. And I've also heard that
someone is working on a glx -> wgl transition.
What is the way to go? I don't think it will be fun to reinvent the wheel and
re-implement glut.
(this is filed under wine-x11driver because there is no wine-opengl component
listed)

Yup tested with Steam - crash right before it tries to show the main window.
Backing out patch in question fixes the problem. I can't track the problem down,
but here is something that I have not found in working log (log lookes like part
of screen drawing before this):

This issue exists under Wine 0.9.10 as well. The built in dll does not
function, but the native one from Windows XP allows the application to run properly.
