I have the same problem using wine 0.9.17 and alsa. My soundcards (I tried
both):
Soundblaster Audigy 2 NX (alsa-usb),
Yamaha DS1-E (ymf754).
I will recompile wine with OSS support and try again.

Yes, getting a CD image of Hearts of Iron 2 would be useful.

Benjamin, you need to have Shockwave Flash installed first.

Confirmed under Warcraft3 after ~2 hours of gameplay. Error messages were same
as in comment #13, except for they started with several
"err:dsound:DSOUND_MixOne underrun on sound buffer 0x7fd92360" messages. Tested
with wine-0.9.17 with Soundblaster Live 5.1 soundcard.

Find the patch that causes the regression!!!! I am happy. My first regression
test :))
It is the patch: wined3d: Make the number of floating point shader constants
dynamic (Take 3) Jason Green...
cvs update -PAd -D "2006-07-19 UTC" works
cvs update -PAd -D "2006-07-20 UTC" does not run

Can't really reproduce, because mine crashes much earlier - and not d3d related
at all. I just see a mouse cursor, before it dies. I haven't been able to figure
it out so far - multiple threads are involved, one of which creates a file
called GAMEPLAY.LZC, and then does a lot of critical section work, and dies with
floating point exception again...
(maybe it's copy-protection related?)
