--- Comment #12 from Tobias Jakobi <liquid.acid(a)gmx.net> 2009-01-30 12:26:31 ---
I would advice to set version to 0.9.34, like reported in comment #4
The message is still there for me for a multitude of apps, like Deus Ex or
other Unreal engine based games.

Shows the bug, notice the mis-placed text control
When the dialog used in ShBrowseForFolder() is resized, the position of one of
the controls is not updated so it's left where it is.
In the first attachment you can see that the text control was left at its
original position after the dialog was resized vertically a bit.

When running "Halo: Combat Evolved", the graphics freeze after the loading
screen and produce either complete black (when videos are enabled) or a static
image of the loading screen (when videos are disabled by -novideo on command
line). Starting the game does not render new graphics to screen.
I'm unsure as of yet whether this occurs in the demo version. I'll be testing
that some time tomorrow or the day after, if no one beats me to it.

screenshot - bad on the left, good on the right.
I was looking at bug 12087 and 12088, and I noticed a regression. Steps to
reproduce:
- start winrar
- press the add button on the toolbar
- go to the file tab
- press the append... button next to the "files to add" textbox
You should be in the WinRar directory.
- Hold down Ctrl and select both Order.htm and Readme.txt
- Press ok
Expected result: the "files to add" textbox should have the names of the files
I selected.
Actual result: the textbox is covered by a horizontal scrollbar.

When the setup_demo.exe is executed, the main app installs cleanly (except some

I know we don't support drivers yet, but we ought to at least
run their installers. I received a request to look into the
Pasco DataStudio usb drivers, so I started by installing DataStudio,
looking in its Drivers subdirectory, and running the dpinst.exe
installer there. It exited silently without installing anything.
The console showed:
fixme:wintrust:WinVerifyTrust unimplemented for 3
fixme:ntdll:server_ioctl_file Unsupported ioctl 9c040 (device=9 access=3
func=10 method=0)
err:setupapi:SetupCopyOEMInfW Could not add catalog
Interestingly, this installer seems to be a standard one that Microsoft
provides in its DDK, or something; see
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms790806.aspx
so it's not just some random installer. Maybe it would be worth looking into.

( Discussion initially started at http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t=3541
)
Trying to use "Impôt Expert", a canadian tax software (in French), version
2008.1201.
Tried with Wine 1.0.1, as packaged by Debian Team.
Installer works, basic forms too, but after entering tax payer ID, application
crash. Last info on console is
fixme:mshtml:HTMLDocument_QueryInterface
(0x19f410)->({df0b3d60-548f-101b-8e65-08002b2bd119} 0x33c740) interface not
supported
followed by a message about unhandled exception (sorry, no verbatim info
available). I'm assuming the software isn't programmed to trap the
E_NOINTERFACE value returned by HTMLDocument_QueryInterface in htmldoc.c
Tried with Wine 1.1.3 from http://winehq.org/download/deblenny
Same result, except that the unhandled exception message is gone.
I tried rebuilding and patching, without success. Apparently, UUID
df0b3d60-548f-101b-8e65-08002b2bd119 is already handled as ISupportErrorInfo in
wine, but just not implemented in mshtml.
After reading http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms714399(VS.85).aspx I
tried patching HTMLDocument_QueryInterface to return S_FALSE instead of
E_NOINTERFACE (increadibly ugly, but just to peek). In that case, Wine crash
with a
wine: Unhandled page fault on read access to 0x00000000 at address 0x4eb79d
(thread 002a), starting debugger...
I'd think that there is no way but to really implement the interface.
Let me know what else I can provide. I'm able to test patches, but as this is
on a P3 with 256MB RAM, it's somewhat painful.
