Removing deprecated CVS/GIT version tag. Please retest in current git. If still
present, update version field to earliest known version of wine that had this
bug. Thanks!

Now that bug #13462 is fixed there's only one issue left: the screen stays
completely black, but as many other issues for this bug have been fixed
already, and the bug has gotten pretty crowded with comments, i'll open a new
bug for this issue, and close this one as fixed as well

Summary: severe crash in Dreamfall brings wineserver down.
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.12
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: fallenblood(a)gmail.com
On wine-1.1.12, Dreamfall crashes with this error:
> wine: Unhandled page fault on write access to 0x00450178 at address 0x7ee9bae3 (thread 001b), starting debugger...
> wineserver crashed, please enable coredumps (ulimit -c unlimited) and restart.
leaving those behind:
> 25510 pts/2 S+ 0:00 dreamfall.exe
> 25515 ? Ss 0:00 C:\windows\system32\wineboot.exe --init
> 25516 ? Sl 0:00 C:\windows\system32\services.exe
> 25518 ? Sl 0:00 C:\windows\system32\winedevice.exe MountMgr
I am using a NoCD crack, as AppDB states that there is no other way of running
the game. The crash occurs at the very launch of dreamfall.exe, even before the
screen resolution is changed. Judging to WINEDEBUG=+all, all that is being done
is reading and writing in the registry. I'm not sure what options should I give
to WINEDEBUG or how do I save the entire log to a file, so I'm not posting a
log yet, but I'm currently trying to do a regression test.

No, HUD modifications are allowed, just like weapon skinning is allowed. Theres
an entire hud modification section on fpsbanana where you can download various
hud modifications. It's a form of skinning - not a form of cheating.

I'm not quite sure what you mean.

Fixes for BITS::IBackgroundCopyJob are in git now. Is there any other issues
that block the installer?

If this a wontfix as Dimitry Timishkov says, surely it should be closed as

Summary: Transparent windows on Ragnarok Online
Product: Wine

Screenshot showing the problem.
Hello, I have found an impressive improvement of the performance when running
Ragnarok Online (RO) on the latest RC Wine, but I have found an error that I
haven't seen before.
I tested RO with Ubuntu Hardy Heron and Wine 1.0rc5 and I saw a little problem
with the transparencies on certain text boxes; I attached an screen-shot
showing the problem and I hope that this is something that could be fixed
easily before the release of Wine 1.0.
Thank you so much for your efforts and congratulations for this great project
that is still alive even with the past of the years.
Best regards.
Sincerely: Alexandro Ayub F.
