Platform: PC OS/Version: Linux Status: UNCONFIRMED Severity: critical Priority: P2 Component: -unknown AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org ReportedBy: roland(a)mxchange.org Created an attachment (id=12818) --> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=12818) Debug log file generated with default settings in WINEDEBUG variable The installer is complaining about missing AutoRunGUI.dll and later on AutoRun.exe but after I worked-around that the installer refuses to install because of missing DirectX version 9.0c or newer. I have no work-around for this. The only thing you can do here is to unzip the files called 0compressed.zip to 3compressed.zip into a new folder. Now to my first mentioned work-arounds. Here are the shell commands I have entered: cd mkdir nfsmw cd nfsmw # I asume here your MW-CD 1 is in your DVD drive and you have setup /etc/fstab that it will be mounted to /dvd/ by regular users. mount /dvd ln -s /dvd/AutoRunGUI.dll /dvd/AutoRun.exe . wine /dvd/AutoRun.exe These symlinks are required if you want to launch the installer, else he will look in the folder /home/your_name/nfsmw/ for it! First all things that have to be done until you could try to start... Installing DirectX from Lost Planet CD: - Nativ fusion.dll - Nativ Msvcr70.dll - Nativ MsCoree.dll After this ones the directx version on CD will install! Game: WMVCore.dll -> is located in the Lost Planet Folder in the steam folder! -> Installed Windows Media Player 9 and copied the wmvcore.dll from there to the LP folder and overwritten the 24 KB file with 2 MB file! - Nativ Quartz - Nativ devenum - Nativ wmvcore - Nativ mscat32 And now i got far away from old crash point, but got a nice crash dump/console output! Maybe it's usefull for anyone... Ah, before i forget about it: tried to start the dx9 version of game! The ctrl button itself works while selecting files however. I then fired up NotePad, and verified that ctrl+a in the main window selects all written text as expected. However, in the "Open file" dialog, after clicking in the file name box (to make it active) ctrl+a does nothing. The same behaviour is noted with the "Save as" dialogue. I believe this is a bug relative to dialogue boxes. It would be nice to have it fixed as I personally enjoy keyboard shortcuts and use this often. I haven't tried MIDI output yet, but even a single track pops considerably with the Realistic Sound Engine, with the interface lagging considerably and even freezing when loading the demo track.
