Back then applications like the Battle.net-Client were using the Linux-Systray when minimized. After the Steam update of a couple days ago, the game has started crashing a few seconds after starting an actual game (getting out of the menu section) whether a single player or multiplayer game. Instead, separate 'Wine System Tray' windows appear ( one for each wine prefix I guess ) which float around freely ( see screenshot ).
