I think a lot of that memory is static data. Multiple copies of the game can be run simultaneously (multi-boxing). I would like to know if Wine can take advantage of the kernel's KSM (Kernel Samepage Merging) feature. I know the KVM (Kernel Virtual Machines) already does this. This would be really awesome to have!! There are workarounds if you just care about the contents of the browser (e.g. you can use ie6's main window, and ie8's guts), but I don't know of a workaround for getting ie8's main window to work. To install EAs, you click on the "Download" link of the EA. For example, on this page... http://www.mql5.com/en/market/product/1870 This redirects to a URL of the form, "mql4buy://1870.PZ%20Goldfinch%20Scalper%20EA/free". On Windows, this starts an instance of Metatrader terminal.exe with the remainder of the URL passed as a parameter e.g. terminal.exe "//1870.PZ Goldfinch Scalper EA/free" This either starts Metatrader, or if it is already running, installs the EA and exits. The first part of the bug is that mql4buy URLs are not handled correctly by Wine Explorer i.e. they are not passed to terminal.exe as they are on a real Windows installation. The second issue is that even if the URL is fed to terminal.exe manually, it does nothing. The EA is not installed. The same problem exists using MT5, 64 bit. By default wine takes 2 hours to compile. If I enable MAKEFLAGS="-j$(nproc)" in makepkg.conf - it won't compile at all. Is there any way to compile faster? I use Arch Linux. During the process, the installer shows slides with cars and I noticed that on Wine these slides have "stitches". I tried to install the game in a virtual machine with WindowsXP and it didn't have such artifacts. The cause has shifted multiple times since this bug was opened. Shall we close this and start fresh?
