I believe this is a regression. Git bisect suggests this may be related to 91731901bad8ff40c74287c6b0e3b537e63ef224 is the first bad commit Does not really matter unless it is a sign of something bad is about to happen somewhere else. This causes h264parse to work incorrectly, which in turn leads to various unpleasant effects, depending on the decoder used. Some examples: - libav's avdec_h264 is the most tolerant one, and only displays brief image artifacts when au-alignment is broken. - OpenH264 displays major image and temporal artifacts on au-alignment break, sometimes hangs. - NVIDIA's nvh264dec immediately crashes the entire application on au-alignment break. This issue is completely fixed by not setting the alignment caps at all and letting h264parse do it's job, as done in this commit: https://github.com/ValveSoftware/wine/commit/0304a42 Not sure why it's set in the first place. I have three versions downloaded at various times and they all exhibit this behaviour. Tested on Wine 10.0, 10.10 and 10.11, and Staging 10.10. Wine 9.0.1 does not have this issue (though the installer doesn't respond to any kind of input). A bisect points to: commit e62265b1130bc49efb51569528d4382c57949c96 Author: Gabriel Ivăncescu <gabrielopcode(a)gmail.com> Date: Mon Oct 14 19:24:06 2024 +0300 mshtml: Make sure disp_invoke is called before locking the document mode. This commit cleanly reverts in current git (10.11) but it does not solve the issue, suggesting there are other commits to hunt down. Checking out the previous commit does resolve the issue. The launcher starts with Wine-staging but I get the error (The Directory is Invalid) when I try to start the game client. The game worked flawlessly before they changed the launcher. I think the problem is the second launcher called "Soulworkerlauncher.exe". When I click minimize the window only flashes, seems like it minimizes but immediately restores to open window with the same size as before. But with this wine version it seams to be not the same issue as under wine 10.3 to 10.7 (described in https://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=58011 and https://bugs.winehq.org/show_ug.cgi?id=57950 ). This time there in no error message window (as it was under wine 10.3 to 10.7) and a try to start MT4 in the linux terminal generates other error (not the same as previously) as shown below: https://pastebin.com/kBLVS6G8 Downgrading to wine 10.2-2 temporary solves the issue (MT4 starts, at least under Manjaro Linux, with Windows 11 set in wine settings). -- Do not reply to this email, post in Bugzilla using the above URL to reply.
