Bug ID: 58925
Summary: GOM Player: UI elements not responding to mouse clicks
Product: Wine
Version: 10.18
Hardware: x86-64
URL: https://www.gomlab.com/en/gomplayer-media-player
OS: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
Assignee: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
Reporter: tobbi.bugs(a)googlemail.com
Distribution: ---
I installed GOM Player from the website mentioned. I noticed that the GOM
Player is not responding to mouse clicks.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Download GOM from https://www.gomlab.com/en/gomplayer-media-player (button
Windows Download)
2. Install GOM using the downloaded .exe file.
3. Start GOM from C:/Program Files (x86)/GOM/GOMPlayer/GOMPlayer.exe
4. Notice how the program is not responding to any mouse clicks.
% openssl sha256 GOMPLAYERGLOBALSETUP_NEW.EXE
SHA2-256(GOMPLAYERGLOBALSETUP_NEW.EXE)=
841694b497b295b9f42d3f669828334cf59f582ff77f7a9e4b80f99ef084c9e7
% wine --version
wine-10.18
I also notice that on first start, there's a "Close" button. Clicking that
button somehow opens gomapp://close/ in Wine's Internet Explorer. I don't know
if this is a separate bug or if the UI elements are unresponsive because of the
non-dismissable message.

Wine console output
When using my own WebView2 example program "SimpleWebView2Browser", see
https://github.com/felixhaedicke/SimpleWebView2Browser for source code and
binaries, the mouse cursor is invisible in the browser window.
Steps to get it running on a fresh wineprefix (see bug 58921):
* Install WebView2 runtime using the "Evergreen Standalone Installer" for x64
from Inst https://developer.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-edge/webview2
* Use my "SimpleWebView2Browser" binaries from
https://github.com/felixhaedicke/SimpleWebView2Browser/releases/tag/v0.1
* Set Windows version to Windows 8 for "msedgewebview2.exe" to work around bug
58921:
wine reg add "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\AppDefaults\msedgewebview2.exe"
/v Version /t REG_SZ /d win8
The mouse cursor is shown as expected when running SimpleWebView2Browser on
Windows 11.

The installer for FALCOM games fails. The cause is that
“C:\Users\[Username]\Application Data” is not created. “Application Data” is a
symbolic link to AppData/Roaming and is automatically created by Windows.

Summary: osu!stable freezes when running on winewayland
Product: Wine

Playing a map in osu!stable (https://osu.ppy.sh/home/download) on latest
winewayland causes the game to freeze (visually, audio still runs in the
background).
Bisected the breaking commit to be this:
https://gitlab.winehq.org/wine/wine/-/commit/871a52cb8b2d9688dbc100284843aa…
Reverting it does indeed make the game playable again.
Tested on latest KDE Plasma 6.5
To reproduce:
- `winetricks -q dotnet48 dotnet20 gdiplus_winxp`
- Launch the game with `DISPLAY=` and wait a few seconds (20-30s) in the main
menu
- Set the game FPS to unlimited in settings
- Play a beatmap, freeze should occur as soon as it's launched.
If it does not occur on the game's first run, a second run should trigger the
issue.

I've recently switched from KDE Plasma to Hyprland, and when i tried to open fl
studio in there i got many, many issues that appeared in hyprland that kde
didn't. The popups and secondary windows were merged, blurry, or unstable and
often at times really annoying to use, and menus either are blurry and
innacurate or just wont work at all. There's minor issues like the splash
screen rendering a black square with the splash hovering away or no drag and
drop feature but the major two i listed are my main concerns.
I uploaded footage video if i didnt explain it well.
https://youtu.be/T87Qo9FYmQs
These issues genuinely make it really hard for me to do anything in FL and any
help is appreciated.
