Yeah,
I hope they are going to fix this pretty soon!
I don't think that it's to hard to get this working for private servers ...
Please devs work on it :o

Summary: Exact Audio Copy causes wine to utilize CPU 100%
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.3.
Platform: PC
URL: http://www.exactaudiocopy.de/eac6.html
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-kernel
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: misc(a)mokfam.com
Currently running Slackware 10.2 with kernel 2.6.15-rc5 and running Exact Audio
Copy 0.95b3. The program works fine except that it causes wine to utlize CPU
100% even after exiting the program. Actually the process that ran this program
needs to be kill -9 before CPU usage returns to normal.

I did not know about a problem with ptrace. I've a custom built kernel based off
CK sources. I'll try a new build of 2.6.15-rc5 and see what happens then.

Did you try to change hardware acceleration ( in winecfg) to "emulation" If you
already have , you might try to change from ALSA to OSS in winecfg and see if
that changes anything.
