New details: when I run winecfg as root, fonts show OK.
But when I run it as a normal user, fonts become invisible.
I checked read permissions in /usr/local/share/fonts,
all looks OK.
I installed also fontforge package, it makes no difference

Summary: Mingw's "cpp -dM" segfaults on wine
Product: Wine
Version: unspecified
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-tools
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: htl10(a)users.sourceforge.net
Mingw 5.0.2 (http://www.mingw.org), wine 0.9.13 on fedora core 5
x86_64, "cpp -dM" segfaults right away on wcmd:
I want to know what internal macros are defined,
so I did cpp -dM:
cpp -dM
cc1.exe: stdout: Invalid argument
cc1.exe: internal compiler error: Segmentation fault
Please submit a full bug report,
with preprocessed source if appropriate.
See <URL:http://www.mingw.org/bugs.shtml> for instructions.
"cpp -dM <randomfile>" works as intended, so this is not
a serious problem, just unexpected. with Mingw 5.0.2
on wine.
Expected behavior:
On windows, nothing happens with input fron stdin until I
enter Ctrl-Z, the DOS end of file marker. Then I get a
listing of builtin defines.

For the record, there are at least three common DSOUND related messages reported
here as bugs. For each of those messages, there is not one but several reasons
why they are generated. Some of the messages are caused by bugs in the direct
sound implementation but some are caused by wine audio drivers, some by the OS
sound drivers and/or sound emulation layers and some are caused by the OS
process scheduling algorithms. Lumping any report that has DSOUND in it
together into a single meta-bug is good from an administrative perspective but
they are not necessarily all duplicates. This makes it difficult to find the
root cause of each report which will probably be different in each case. Even
every me-too reply can have a different root cause if the application, OS or
hardware differs in any way.

I've just upgraded to 0.9.13 and that gives me the
Run-Time error '6' overflow
on startup so I can't get into the application at all.
(0.9.12 wouldn't start either with a different message as in
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=4370
)

Summary: PAF 5.2 Crashes InstallShield
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.13.

Status: UNCONFIRMED

I will regression test this bug as long as it is not marked as a duplicate of another bug. It may however
be a duplicate of Bug 5251.
PAF 5.2 can be downloaded for free at the URL submitted with this bug.
I tested this program on a fresh install of Ubuntu 6.06 Flight 7 with updates using a fresh installation of
Wine 0.9.13 with no custom configuration.
1. Run 'wine PAF5EnglishSetup.exe'
2. Click 'OK' to install in English
3. An 'InstallShield Wizard' progress window appears
4. An error window appears
5. Click 'OK' on error window
6. Install shield crashes
InstallShield should not crash.
Repeating these steps I have gotten the following messages in the error window that appears.
An installation support file 'c:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\engine\6\I??p? 32
\corecomp.ini' could not be installed. (0x800706c0)
An installation support file 'c:\Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\engine\6\Intel 32\ctor.dll'
could not be installed. (0x8000ffff)

I'm having the same problem as MGSX2, but it doesn't get solved if I run as
root. I'm using debian sarge and wine 0.9.13.
