Created an attachment (id=9307)
--> (http://bugs.winehq.org/attachment.cgi?id=9307)
hack to bind to all interfaces
I've created a patch to hack the bind address (as Dylan suggested, bind to
all). This behaviour can be enabled by setting the registry key
User/Software/Wine/Network/UseBindAddressHack = "enabled". I haven't tested yet
if the game actually works well on network but it replaces the address properly
and should do the trick (also change the IP of your computer in /etc/hosts
...).
To make it compile run 'autoreconf' and compile from scratch.

I cannot verify. Still can reproduce with git. Can you double check, especially
because the system cursor is turned off correctly with my install? It does not
have anything to do with hardware, as I got a much faster machine.

I was unable to find appreciable cpu usage with wine 0.9.49 and eMule 0.48a.
System specifications:
* Core Duo - 2GHz
* Memory - 1GB
* Fresh .wine/ directory
Significant background processes:
* vmware server
* several instances of epiphany
* one instance of mozilla firefox w/ 3 tabs
* mozilla thunderbird
Even with all of these programs open, no appreciable cpu usage was noticed with
the specific emule process. Peaks in process usage topped out at 5% when
performing various operations with emule such as searching or checking options.
Beyond the above, nothing significant was noticed about the wineserver. It had
no abnormal cpu or memory usage and was unnoticeable to the discerning eye.
Conclusion:
With the above configuration, there was no noticeable cpu usage by either emule
or wineserver either while in active use or idling.

Hi, indeed. I just retested with 0.9.45 and it works (some flickering), but
with 0.9.46 I get the crash in Titan Quest 1.20 before the game actually comes
up.
I take it now a bisect is needed to find the patch responsible?
I'll start working on it, however any hints are welcome, since this problem
still occurs in current git (0.9.49+).

Bug way too generic and has only few apps listed. Metabugs are not useful -
closing.

Closing. Whenever new handling of DXGrab gets implemented, then this bug might
reappear, depending of course on implementation.
