Correction: not File / Open, but rather File / Browse is slow.

Not a Wine bug.
Report this to your distro owner or user support forum.

Only basic functionality is emulated. All direct HW access requests will not be
available with ISO (loop device)

You have to have real CD-ROM. Wine will not emulate the presence of the CD-ROM
from an ISO image.

Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: wine-files
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: thesource(a)mail.ru
I mounted Painkiller ISO image to a folder and configured this folder as CD-ROM
driver E: in wine. But Painkiller says that no CD inserted. In windows I mount
this iso with Daemon tools and everything works just fine. I don't know what
component is responsible for this, sorry.

Summary: Photoshop CS crashes if you choose "Online Services"

8.x/AdobePhotoshopCS.zip
OS/Version: other

AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: dank(a)kegel.com
Start Photoshop CS (perhaps as described in
http://wiki.winehq.org/AdobePhotoshop), dismiss
the initial color management and welcome dialogs,
then click on File / Online Services, and accept the TOS.
The app crashes with a Runtime Error dialog.
Adding +wininet,+seh,+text shows:
trace:wininet:HttpQueryInfoW 1 <--
trace:wininet:HttpQueryInfoA lpBuffer: (null)
trace:seh:raise_exception code=e06d7363 flags=1 addr=0x7ee31210
...
trace:text:DrawTextExW L"Runtime Error!\n\nProgram: C:\\Program
Files\\Adobe\\Photoshop CS\\Photoshop.exe\n\n\r\nabnormal program
termination\r\n", -1, [(0,0)-(352,0)] 00000450
+relay is hard to do, since Photoshop generates yottabytes of
relay on startup.

Try it with current wine. My load time on CS is only two minutes now :-)
Supposedly you only have to override shell32 to get faster loading.
The slowdown appears to also affect the File / Open dialog, at least in CS.
See also http://wiki.winehq.org/AdobePhotoshop for
a recipe showing how to start CS.

I haven't seen that yet.
Can you give a more explicit recipe?
