This is in a virtual desktop, but it also worked fine in metacity as a full screen app (just couldn't grab a screenshot). I didn't try it in Kwin or Beryl. In e-mail he stated should be a window manager problem, not his patch/wine. So it would seem Dmitry is right and this should be reported to the various WM's.
