In terminal:
$ wget http://www.kegel.com/wine/winetricks
$ sh winetricks dcom98
Run your patch.
If it doesn't work, be sure to try it with a clean .wine directory (re)move your
old one first. Then report it here.

Summary: Xorg hangs randomly when eMule window is restored from
minimize
Product: Wine
Version: 0.9.41.
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: wine-x11driver
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: thesource(a)mail.ru
Happens randomly on 1 of 10-15 restorations. Screen image gets distorted and CPU
is severely used. Input does not work. I can't switch to another console, kill
Xorg or reboot. Only reset works. So far it happened only with eMule. QIP does
not cause this. Any other application (not windows) works fine.
My system is Core 2 Duo 6600 2.4GHz, GeForce 8800 GTX (nvidia 100.14.11 driver),
2GB 667 MHz RAM Dual Channel, OS Fedora 7.
Xorg version: 1.3.0.0-9.fc7
If you need additional information, please tell me how to get it.

Expect deadlock!" Messages in my wine terminal afterwards

I am still experiencing the same problem. Wine did not exhibit any
problems before the upgrade I listed in the attachment.
Thanks.

I recently upgraded from
Fedora (2.6.21-1.3228.fc7) to
Fedora (2.6.22.1-27.fc7) via yum.
I upgraded wine via yum at about the same time.
