Summary: Guitar Pro 5 Crashes (maybe audio problem)
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc1
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: major
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: thegnomefiddler(a)gmail.com
Only seconds after Guitar Pro 5 is open, it crashes without any Error message.
With 0.9.61, it worked very well, but since upgrade, it crashes.
Maybe it's an audio problem : Winecfg crashes when I tested the sound in the
Audio Tag.

Summary: Expected vertex samplers + MAX_TEXTURES(=8) on GF9600GT
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.8
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: trivial
Priority: P2
Component: directx-d3d
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: bogdanb+bugs.winehq.org(a)gmail.com
On a GeForce 9600GT wine always warns that:
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_FillGLCaps OpenGL implementation supports 32 vertex
samplers and 32 total samplers
fixme:d3d:IWineD3DImpl_FillGLCaps Expected vertex samplers + MAX_TEXTURES(=8) >
combined_samplers
This comes from dlls/wined3d/directx.c (~line 900 in the 1.1.8 sources).
There's a largish comment there that explains why this is triggered, but I'm
not sure I understand it. I volunteer to help fixing the problem if someone is
willing to coach me a bit.

Summary: Mouse is not mapped correctly in Populous: the Beginning
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.8
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P2
Component: directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: Rincebrain(a)gmail.com
In Populous: The Beginning, the game crashes if I attempt to run it without
emulating a virtual desktop. Fine.
I run it in a virtual desktop, and it runs "correctly" - but the mouse mapping
is incorrect. I can cover a portion of the screen in the "desktop" with my
mouse, but the mapping between where my mouse is inside of the virtual desktop
and where it is in reality appears to be wrong - my mouse moves out of the
right side of the virtual desktop when the cursor in the in-game window appears
to be approximately in the middle of the screen.
The same behavior appears vertically, which means that I cannot access ~3/4 of
the screen area.
This bug occurs in using the D3D-accelerated version of the binary. Using the
non-D3D accelerated form of the binary, the game maps the input correctly
[though it requires that I set MouseWarpOverride to "disable", lest the mouse
cursor be stuck in the center of the screen].

It was a problem a few Wine versions ago; I can test Wine 1.1.8, but I don't
think anything has changed.
Using OpenGL rendering makes the problem go away, but that didn't work for
Intel cards last time I checked.

Is this still an issue in current (1.1.8 or newer) wine? You could try seeing
if the DIB engine helps (bug 421).

...
I've also tried FlashFXP 3.4.0 (build 1145) and the latest version, FlashFXP
3.6.0 (build 1240). In this two versions FlashFXP does not hang up any more,
after getting the Directory List, but it doesn't show the content - only the
"Folder Up" Icon is visible.
...
If you cannot see any content in flashFXP you cannot download / upload / fxp
data between two hosts. So the program is still not useable with wine )':
As I wrote in comment #14 old FlashFXP versions are useable (the folder content
is shown correct), but as they do not support encryption and other useful
things they are at the moment no alternative.
kind regards, Alois
