Summary: MathCAD 2000 Pro 2D graph text label bug
Product: Wine
Version: 1.1.0
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: -unknown
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: kc8ldo(a)arrl.net
The text label for the Y-axis on 2-D graphs, the only one I've checked so far,
shows up as a small black blob on the white worksheet back ground. It use to
work. The text should be drawn at a 90 degree angle, rotated, from a horizontal
position going CCW. This looks like a regression from wine-1.0.0.

Vertical text is not rendered properly in Altium DXP 2004 schematics views. I
am assuming this was caused by the changes to GDI in Wine 1.1.0.

Debug Logs for relay,+wininet (filtered):
I have an application used to download a game from an online store which set a
cookie using InternetSetCookie() between calls to HttpOpenRequest() and
HttpSendRequest(), but this cookie is not sent on the wire, as the application
except it.
This application works well under MS Windows and under Wine with MS Internet
Explorer 6 installed, but using the wine wininet implementation, the cookie is
not sent.
The exact behavior of wininet functions is not documented on MSDN, but it seems
that parameters (proxy, auth-data, cookies) have to be fetched only when
calling HttpSendRequest(), especially Cookies, not when calling
HttpOpenRequest().
See attached traces.

max payne 2 demo: screen when entering bullet time
Hi there,
entering bullet time mode in Max Payne 2 (tested with the demo), results in a
screen with solid color. The game scene itself isn't visible anymore, so you
have no control about movement and aiming direction.
For details see the screenshot.
I think it's a problem with the post-processing effects.
Graphics setting are set to high (every option, except for anti-aliasing which
is disabled).
Resolution was 640x480 in 32 bit color mode.

max payne 2 demo run (large parts but out because they were identical)
Hi there,
I'm currently trying to get the Max Payne 2 demo running on my nvidia Geforce
FX 5900 based system. It has some issues with mirror reflections, bullettime
postprocessing and some other bugs already mentioned on the tracker.
I don't know how much this is related, but during the game wine spits out a lot
of messages on the console. During some normal length gaming sessions (should
have been around 20 minutes) I already got a >100MB logfile, without any
tracing activated, just running wine with no options.
The errors are of this type:
fixme:d3d:texture_activate_dimensions >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_OPERATION
(0x502) from glTexEnvi(GL_TEXTURE_SHADER_NV, GL_SHADER_OPERATION_NV, ...) @
utils.c / 3410
In fact I shouldn't say "this type", it's always exactly this line.
I'm going to attach a modified log (cut out most of the log, because this
message repeats endlessly) so you have bit more context.
I'm adding Alexander to CC because he probably knows why this happens ;-)
Naturally I also did some research:
>From dlls/wined3d/utils.c:
if(GL_SUPPORT(NV_TEXTURE_SHADER2)) {
glTexEnvi(GL_TEXTURE_SHADER_NV, GL_SHADER_OPERATION_NV, bumpmap ?
GL_OFFSET_TEXTURE_2D_NV : GL_TEXTURE_2D);
checkGLcall("glTexEnvi(GL_TEXTURE_SHADER_NV, GL_SHADER_OPERATION_NV, ...)");
These are line 3408 - 3410.
Links to NV texture shader extension docs:
http://www.opengl.org/registry/specs/NV/texture_shader.txthttp://www.opengl.org/registry/specs/NV/texture_shader2.txt
(I still have to take a deeper look)
>From http://www.opengl.org/sdk/docs/man/xhtml/glTexEnv.xml:
"GL_INVALID_OPERATION is generated if glTexEnv is executed between the
execution of glBegin and the corresponding execution of glEnd."
In case NV_texture_shader doesn't change glTexEnv so much that also other
conditions can lead to GL_INVALID_OPERATION there should be some problems in
the calling function of texture_activate_dimensions.
Any way of outputting the call stack from texture_activate_dimensions?
Cheers,
Tobias

Terminal output
Saw I can get a student copy of Office 2007 for $20. Prepare for a flood of
Office bug reports.
To reproduce:
Insert dvd
Hit bug 12486 - Microsoft Office Standard 2007 installation failure
sh winetricks msxml3
Start back up, goes well.
Hit bug 9014 - MS Office 2007 Home and Student edition installer crashes
native rpcrt4
Then it'll pretend to actually start, but fail with a generic 'There was a
problem, do you want to report to Microsoft' error. Not sure where to go from
there, output isn't much hint.
I checked the AppDB, tried the suggestions there (winetricks msxml3 dotnet20
gdiplus riched20 riched30 vcrun2005sp1), but no luck. I'm going to try building
0.9.58, since the AppDB claims it worked there, and see if it's a regression.
Terminal output is attached. +relay is on the way
