As a workaround, putting Verdana.ttf in the Fonts directory fixes the problem. I use a git version of wine and fontforge is well installed. I thought it was the exec filesystem flag error, but it was not set besides "winetricks dotnet20" succeeds. I also found this report: https://code.google.com/p/winetricks/issues/detail?can=2&start=0&num=100&q=… But it's not a winetricks bug: I try manually I've got the same error: taskset -c 0 wine wic_x86_enu.exe /passive ... Wine 1.5.1 runs well enough. When joining multiplayer campaigns via a direct ip connection, while joining before the start of the first match is reliable and staying in the campaign as the matches progess, I can not rejoin a game in progess with the in-game error "Sorry, you are not authorized by STEAM to play this game at this time." It appears that this error plagues everybody across the board.
