Summary: DirectX 10 not running DirectX 8

Call for DirectX 8 implication
So I'm trying to run a specialized program that my work used to have on PC's.
Company was bought out and everyone was given a Mac. Some people kept there
PC's for the program. But those PC's are desktops and not laptops like the
Mac's are. I can install the program with no problems. When I run the program
it says that Vista machines run DirectX 10 and can not install DirectX 8. The
program continues to run. When I get a certain point to load data, it uses
DirectX for visualizations, no way around it. It then completely crashes.

Bitdefender is reporting an adware infection in the 32-bit version of
msctfp.dll:
Object '/home/jghodd/Downloads/wine-staging2/usr/lib/wine/fakedlls/msctfp.dll'
is infected with 'Gen:Adware.Heur.aq4@1meDUAh'
Object
'/home/jghodd/Downloads/wine-staging2/wine-staging-2.21-1-i686.pkg.tar.xz=>(xz
stream)=>usr/lib/wine/fakedlls/msctfp.dll' is infected with
'Gen:Adware.Heur.aq4@1meDUAh'
I also checked v2.15, v2.19 and v2.20 and all 4 versions produce this error
when scanned by bitdefender.
I built out 2.20 and 2.21 myself (2.19 was an arch linux build) and have
checked the source code - I'm not seeing anything suspicious so I suspect it's
a false positive, but sourceforge.net uses bitdefender to check all files on
its site and my distro's repositories are located on sourceforge. This is a
problem, because sourceforge is blacklisting this package.
I can probably convince sourceforge to whitelist the package, but this will
continue to be an ongoing issue when newer versions are uploaded to the site.

Summary: DELISprint does not run
Product: Wine
Version: 1.7.15
Hardware: x86-64

Command line messages, from a run on Linux Mint Debian Ed. x64 / Mate Desktop
and Wine 1.7.15
DELISprint is an online/offline parcel check-in and label print application
from DPD, a large German parcel service.  It is necessary for business
customers of DPD. You need to be a registered customer to really use it, but
it can be freely tried in demo mode. It may be freely downloaded from
http://delisprint.dpd.com/download/v5/DELISprint_Setup.exe (Ver. 5.6.7.0, 30
MB).
According to its included Help PDF it is written for Win 2000/XP, but runs also
on Win 7. It seems to make heavy use of a Jet DB and brings 30 dlls. Prior to
installation in a new WINEPREFIX it needs jet40 and mdac28 via winetricks.
With these prerequisites DELISprint_Setup.exe installs. On first start it
automatically imports quite a lot of CSV data into its DB and then seems to
work. But on exit and second start it hangs at its splash screen, the Wine
debugger window opens but remains empty.
The same happened with Wine 1.7.11 and Wine 1.6.2 on an x86 installation.
I found one old unanswered forum thread with the same problem:
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-users/2012-March/104110.html
See attached command line messages, from a run on Linux Mint Debian Ed. x64 /
Mate Desktop and Wine 1.7.15, after clicking »Close« in the debugger window and
then pressing Ctrl-C because the program didn't close.

Crysis displays nothing but black. You can hear the audio, though.
The log contains these two lines, over and over and over:
fixme:wgl:macdrv_wglSwapBuffers current context 0x17a830 doesn't match hdc
0x50046; can't swap
err:d3d:swapchain_blit >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> GL_INVALID_FRAMEBUFFER_OPERATION
(0x506) from Swapchain present blit(EXT_framebuffer_blit)
@ swapchain.c / 338
This bug is not present in Wine Staging, but I can't find the patch that fixed
the problem. Sometime, I'll try bisecting.
