The behaviour in the first report appears fixed - if I run notepad, ctrl+o for
file open dialog, then type 'C:\'<enter>, then 'Program Files'<enter> I get
identical behaviour on windows and wine
The 'windows' behaviour with '..' documented in comment #2 is not the same
behaviour I was seeing on my Windows XP box.
eg. With file browser in a directory c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft
share, on both wine and windows (notepad, open dialog)
a. Type: '..\..\..\Program Files\..'
Displays: C:\ contents
Highlighted Text: '..\..\..\Program Files\..'
b. Type: '..\Microsoft Shared\'
Displays: Microsoft Shared contents
Highlighted Text: '..\Microsoft Shared\'
c. Type: '..\..\..'
Displays: C:\
Highlighted Text: '..\..\..'
Resolving works for me - especially since the initial problem report appears
fixed. Please reopen or raise another bug if further problems persist.

Works quite nicely here. Make sure to remove ~/.wine dir and reinstall the
program This is tested with wine-0.9.41, because wine-0.9.42 has another
regression - bug 9089.

Must be an ATi driver problem since I don't encounter this bug. I use an
Nvidia GeforceFX with wine 0.9.42.

Anyone know what version actually launched last? Not the graphics bug, but
whatever is crashing it before it even starts.

I have a program, but it works only on Nvidia cards (min GF6). The shadowmaps
are only a small problem, a bigger problem are hidden buffers that are bigger
than the screen (for example supersampling with a deferred renderer)
