With file browser in a directory c:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft share, on both wine and windows (notepad, open dialog) a. Type: '..\..\..\Program Files\..' Displays: C:\ contents Highlighted Text: '..\..\..\Program Files\..' b. Type: '..\Microsoft Shared\' Displays: Microsoft Shared contents Highlighted Text: '..\Microsoft Shared\' c. Type: '..\..\..' Displays: C:\ Highlighted Text: '..\..\..' Resolving works for me - especially since the initial problem report appears fixed.
