>If it's possible to implement, the force-box suggestion sounds good.
That won't be as simple as you think. If the mouse pointer leaves Wine's window
- it's lost. Wine won't be receiving events from it and won't be warping it.
The only possibility that I can think of is to fix DXGrab first. Then you can
warp mouse on the border. Given you might loose some long movements, which will
negatively affect action games.

This is also the case for Mount&Blade. I think that the force-box would likely
be more useful in this game's case as well.

It also locks the mouse to the center on the menus in World War II Online.
Unfortunately, in this game there is no mouse menu navigation.
If it's possible to implement, the force-box suggestion sounds good.

Wow, thank you! Problem solved. Software rendering runs perfectly now, except
for this fullscreen issue I just discovered. The game supports two resolutions
640x480 and 800x600. The main menu is always in 640x480. When a game is started
it switches from 640 to 800 (when graphic is on 'high') and I can see my
desktop on the left and bottom. Clicking in that area causes the game to lose
focus.
Can anyone confirm this? I'm on Kubuntu/KDE4 right now and I do have Problems
with KWin when switching resolutions (Plasmoids, e.g. the taskbar, don't get
resized) so I'm not sure if wine maybe runs perfectly and it's just kde4 acting
up.

Summary: Mouse stuck in center in Zoo Empire
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc1
Platform: PC-x86-64
OS/Version: Linux
Status: UNCONFIRMED
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: directx-dinput
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: kazade(a)gmail.com
The game "Zoo Empire" installs and runs perfectly in Wine 1.0-rc1 until you get
to the main menu. At this point the cursor moves to the center of the screen
and will continue to warp back as you attempt to move it away. It is impossible
to start a new game.
