Bug still in effect in Wine 1.1.3. though not as severe.
Reason still needs mouse movement to "kickstart" the application screen into
updating itself.

Look at my comment #107 and go to appdb gothic 3 for "mouse problem temporary
solved" comment. This way is working 100%. and you don't have to change
registry to do it. Sometimes this week I will provide another dinput.dll.so for
1.1.3 wine. PlayOnLinux way is using this dll which I provide so it's working
like the others confirmed. I tried first solution but it's holding mouse in the
center in menu. Denis Misiurca way it looks better, I only made dll and changed
few bits.

Yes. see comment 128 for a possible improvement. In the meantime, navigate the

The MouseWarpOverride=force doesn't work for Crysis. Using this option with
Wine 1.1.3 locks the cursor in the menu into the middle of the screen, and
whenever I move the mouse, it moves a little and jumps back. Without the
registry value it behaves the same way as previous Wine versions without the
patch (which worked).

The registry option + 'Allow DirectX apps to stop the mouse leaving their
window' enabled with winecfg works with wine-1.1.3 amd64 and AA 2.8.3 (except
the PB issue)

Summary: Minimize/restore needs to send a WM_SYSCOMMAND message
Product: Wine
Version: 1.0-rc1
Platform: Other
OS/Version: other
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P2
Component: winex11.drv
AssignedTo: wine-bugs(a)winehq.org
ReportedBy: julliard(a)winehq.org
Some apps like eMule (cf. bug 5844) and FL Studio (cf. bug 3270) depend on
receiving a WM_SYSCOMMAND when a window is minimized or restored. Currently we
call ShowWindow directly because the state of the window has already been
changed by the window manager.
